Community expectations

Accurate account information:

  • Your Whimstay account must reflect your true identity. This includes your name, date of birth, and any other required details.

  • Guests and hosts must ensure the information provided in their profiles, listings, and communications is truthful and accurate.

Valid identification:

  • When requested, any identification provided must be valid, government-issued, and unexpired.

Age requirement:

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create a Whimstay account, book a reservation, or host a property.

  • Minors must be accompanied by an adult during a stay.

What is not allowed

Misrepresentation:

  • Providing false information or pretending to be someone else.

  • Using photos, documents, or details that do not match your actual identity.

Duplicate accounts:

  • Creating multiple accounts for personal use or using the same identification across multiple accounts.

Invalid or falsified documents:

  • Submitting expired, damaged, or falsified identification documents.

How we enforce this policy

  • Account Verification: Whimstay may request additional steps to verify your identity when necessary, such as during account setup, booking requests, or support inquiries.

  • Violations: Accounts found to violate this policy may be restricted, suspended, or removed.
