How refunds work

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Refunds are processed quickly but may take time to appear in your account. Here's what to expect.

Refunds go to your original payment method

When we process a refund, it automatically goes back to the card or bank account you used when you booked. We can't send refunds to a different payment method.

How long it takes

We process refunds immediately on our end. Once processed, it typically takes 1 to 15 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or card provider.

If you can't access your original payment method

If you no longer have access to the card or account you used to pay, contact your bank or card provider. Here's what usually happens:

  • Replaced card: If you got a new card for the same account, your bank will usually credit the refund to your new card automatically.

  • Closed account: If the account is closed but you have another account with the same bank, they may transfer the refund there.

  • No active account: If you don't have any accounts with that bank, they'll typically issue the refund by check or another method.

Your bank can tell you exactly how they'll handle the refund based on your situation.

If you're not seeing your refund

Check with your bank first—they can confirm whether the refund has been received and when it will show up in your account. If you're still having trouble after checking with your bank, contact us at [email protected].
