Respecting privacy in our community
At Whimstay, we are committed to fostering an environment that values and protects the privacy of both travelers and hosts. The following guidelines outline how privacy is maintained during stays.
What we allow
Emergency access: Travelers must have exclusive access to the property during their stay. In emergencies, hosts may contact Whimstay to address the situation appropriately.
What we don't allow
Unauthorized entry:
Travelers must not allow unauthorized individuals to enter the property during their stay. This applies to the property and any areas where privacy is reasonably expected.
Interference with private spaces:
Travelers may not engage in privacy-infringing behaviors, such as spying or attempting to access restricted areas of the property.
Misuse of personal property:
Travelers must not use any personal property belonging to the host unless explicit permission has been granted.
Sharing private information:
Travelers are prohibited from sharing or posting private information, photos, or videos of other parties without explicit consent.
Security devices
Hosts are prohibited from placing recording devices on the interior of properties available on Whimstay. If there are any questions about devices on the property, we encourage travelers to reach out to the host and Whimstay's customer service team so we can confirm its status according to our policy.
